Scientia Announces Strategic Partnership with Scope4mation
Cambridge, England - 26 August 2014
Scientia, the global leader in timetabling and resource management solutions for the Higher Education sector, has announced a partnership with Scope4mation, one of Europe’s foremost providers of powerful data management solutions. Scientia is now able to offer University institutions a revolutionary new integration platform specifically designed to enhance the efficiency, performance and security of previously complex data integrations between everyday applications.
The Scientia Connect platform, delivered in collaboration with Scope4mation, offers clients a rapid read and write data transfer process between databases and supported applications. The platform is completely scalable, so that, for example, clients can initially enhance data integration between the Scientia product suite and the University student record system, but then extend their implementation to transfer business critical information between other sources and applications such as estates, finance, attendance monitoring, HR and more.
Configuring data exchanges between applications is made simple thanks to an automated set of user workflows that require little technical skill to deploy. An intuitive web portal provides end-users with a clear view of files and databases, allowing data to be easily mapped between applications. Connect delivers excellent configurability, flexibility and performance as well as a set of enhanced features such as differential updates, audit logs, triggers and bi-directional interfacing.
The platform enables Higher Education institutions to deploy one single solution for reliably attaining and maintaining consistency of data within IT systems. A powerful management information reporting suite is also available including rich graphical analysis of integration interfaces. This innovative new integration technology leverages the proven capability of Scope4mation’s existing data management solutions, which are successfully deployed both in Higher Education and other industry sectors, to deliver huge time and cost efficiencies whilst ensuring seamless information exchange between everyday applications that is more secure and reliable than ever.
Tim Porter, Head of Global Sales at Scientia, commented: “The introduction of Scientia’s exciting new Connect platform addresses the challenge many Higher Education institutions experience in managing data across multiple applications. Moving data efficiently and dependably between disparate business-critical applications is a key enabler for streamlining University processes. It ensures that access to accurate data is reliable and consistent right across the institution. With vital information often spread across multiple systems, including our own Scientia suite of market-leading scheduling solutions, we’re delighted to be able to offer clients a single solution that ensures all their data can be shared across multiple applications rapidly, consistently and securely. The technology adds more value by enabling integration workflows to be entirely automated, and by also allowing users to view and control their data exchanges via a simple web interface. We are really enthusiastic about the potential of this innovative new solution to make a difference for our clients.”
Joost Ale, Scope4mation’s CEO, said “We are delighted that Scientia has chosen to collaborate with Scope4mation to deliver their next generation suite of integration tools. Our vision is that Scientia’s Connect platform will emerge as the solution of choice for those Higher Education institutions worldwide who wish to attain greater control of their critical everyday data processes. We are aware of Scientia’s prominent position as a global market leader in delivering software solutions to many of the world’s leading Universities. When this is allied to Scope4mation’s growing reputation for delivering world class data management solutions, we are confident that institutions in the Higher Education sector can rely on the combined expertise of both organisations to help them transform the way data is seamlessly shared across their diverse essential systems. Our shared goal will be to help Scientia clients realise significant time and cost efficiencies enabling them to work smarter and faster than ever before.”
