Erasmus University Rotterdam signs up for Scientia
Cambridge, England - 17 November 2014
The latest contract win for Scientia in the Netherlands – from the leading Erasmus University Rotterdam – means that the company now provides timetabling services for 12 out of the country’s 13 universities. Scientia is the global leader in timetabling and resource management solutions for the Higher Education sector.
The Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) has chosen Scientia’s powerful and easy to use Enterprise Foundation timetabling and Exam Scheduler solution, along with Scientia Connect Platform – a new integration platform revolutionary data management platform - which will enable the university to work smarter and faster than ever before and achieve significant time and cost efficiencies.
Named after 15th-century humanist and philosopher Desiderius Erasmus, EUR today has more than 19,400 students supported by an academic staff of around 2,100, all working in three broad domains: economics and management; medicine and health; and law, culture and society. Ranked 20th in Europe and 73rd in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, EUR wants to climb higher up the rankings and, as part of this plan, to streamline its operations with one scheduling system across its whole organisation.
The contract was signed in June 2014 and is scheduled for completion during summer 2015.
